Feto-placental ratio

چکیده
The dimension of delivered placentae mirrors the cumulative conception to parturition. Placental weight is the gross summary of fetal growth under the influence of many extrinsic and intrinsic factors. Hence, the present study evaluated the influence of gestation, sex of the newborn, and parity on feto singleton newborn from a teaching hospital of North Karnataka, India. Data was collected from August 2012 to January 2013 by using standard operating procedures deviations of placental morphometry, respectively. In gestational age 28 to 32 weeks, the consistently up to 6.19:1 with increasing gestat increased with increasing groups of gestational age. Feto was in favor of primipara (6.0:1 (6.3:1). The paritywise feto-placental ratio differences were not statistically significant. However, irrespective of gestation, multipara had higher feto-placental ratio (6.2:1) as compared to pri gestation, males had higher feto placental ratio is influenced by variates o Hence, variations in any of these factors lead to adverse pregnancy outcome by deviation of feto placental ratio.

Maternal carbohydrate intake and pregnancy outcome.
Experimental evidence indicates that the primary maternal environmental factor that regulates feto-placental growth is substrate delivery to the placental site, which is the product of maternal substrate levels and the rate of placental-bed blood flow. Thus, maternal factors which change either substrate level or flow alter feto-placental growth rate. The best-studied substrate in human pregnan...

The placenta provides all the nutrients required for the fetus through pregnancy. It develops dynamically, and, to avoid rejection of the fetus, there is no mixing of fetal and maternal blood; rather, the branched placental villi 'bathe' in blood supplied from the uterine arteries. Within the villi, the feto-placental vasculature also develops a complex branching structure in order to maximize ...
متن کاملDoes the Biological Response to Fetal Hypoxia Involve Angiogenesis, Placental Enlargement and Preeclampsia?
From an evolutionary point of view, an overriding biological priority is to ensure offspring survival. Oxygen is essential for the growing fetus, and during pregnancy the fetus has an increasing demand for oxygen. If the oxygen supply to the fetus is threatened, it is likely that compensatory mechanisms are activated. Impaired development of the placenta in early pregnancy is assumed to be the ...
متن کاملListeriosis in the pregnant guinea pig: a model of vertical transmission.
Feto-placental infections represent a major cause of pregnancy complications, and yet the underlying molecular and cellular mechanisms of vertical transmission are poorly understood. Listeria monocytogenes, a facultative intracellular pathogen, is one of a group of pathogens that are known to cause feto-placental infections in humans and other mammals. The purpose of this study was to evaluate ...
متن کاملChromosomal Mosaicism in Human Feto-Placental Development: Implications for Prenatal Diagnosis
Chromosomal mosaicism is one of the primary interpretative issues in prenatal diagnosis. In this review, the mechanisms underlying feto-placental chromosomal mosaicism are presented. Based on the substantial retrospective diagnostic experience with chorionic villi samples (CVS) of a prenatal diagnosis laboratory the following items are discussed: (i) The frequency of the different types of mosa...
